BREEAM In-Use

​

A fresh building certification scheme to the US, with decades of history in the UK where it has originated, BREEAM In-Use is a three part benchmarking and certification method making its debut in the US market.  The developer, the Building Research Establishment (BRE) offers a suite of products available internationally, however BREEAM In-Use focus is most importantly on the existing building stock.  With wider applicability and the potential to certify assets, fulfilling GRESB in traditionally non-certifiable assets, BREEAM has shown extraordinary promise for Higher Education, Shopping Malls and  other configurations where LEED is not practical.

"BREEAM In Use is an online, international, environmental assessment methodology for independent, third party assessment and certification of a buildings operational performance. The standard enables property investors, owners, managers and occupiers to drive sustainable improvements through operational efficiency, including how to continually manage the operation of their building effectively." 

 

Founder Levi Jimenez was one of the first trained BREEAM Assessors in the US (not yet accredited) and has worked closely with the BRE, and can provide full project administration from inception to conclusion, acting as liaison between the owner/manager and the Assessor.

Fitwel

​

​We are "Fitwel Ambassadors", having developed fundamental Fitwel documentation, and always excited to apply the Fitwel Certification program to a host of commercial and multifamily residential property applications.  Focusing on occupant health and comfort, Fitwel is a three-star rating system that assesses 7 health impact categories that explore Community Health, Social Equity and Feeling of Wellbeing among others.  Developed by the Center for Active Design, and funded by the Center for Disease Control, Fitwel offers key insights upon the completion of certification, that challenge to improve the assets health and safety performance.
